Pues recuperando la esencia de la historia e introduciendo elementos de nuestro d\u00eda a d\u00eda. Seguid el camino de baldosas amarillas.

Seguramente ten\u00e9is en mente a Judy Garland y la versi\u00f3n cinematogr\u00e1fica firmada por Victor Fleming en 1939, pero la historia en que se basa El Mago de Oz (The Wonderful Wizard of Oz) fue escrita a\u00f1os antes, en 1900, por Lyman Frank Baum. Fue capaz de crear una historia extraordinariamente poderosa que hace un siglo que seduce a ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as pero tambi\u00e9n a los adultos, con una trama sencilla que promueve valores como la amistad, el coraje, la ternura o la empat\u00eda. Una ni\u00f1a, Dorothy, es arrastrada por un tornado (real o imaginario) con su perro Tot\u00f3 y aparece en un mundo m\u00e1gico, extra\u00f1o y desconocido. Se dirigir\u00e1 a la ciudad Esmeralda para pedir a su gobernante, el Mago de Oz, que la devuelva a su casa. Y por el camino, un camino de baldosas amarillas que deber\u00e1 seguir sin desviarse, encontrar\u00e1 a unos compa\u00f1eros de viaje que, como ella misma, buscan algo que echan de menos. Reconocer\u00e9is en esta historia a los personajes que ya conoc\u00edais, aunque con unas caracter\u00edsticas que los ponen en contacto directo con el mundo de hoy: un Espantap\u00e1jaros que busca un cerebro pero que est\u00e1 especialmente preocupado por el clima y el medio ambiente; un Hombre de Lat\u00f3n que, en esta versi\u00f3n es un c\u00edborg de g\u00e9nero neutro pero que sigue buscando un coraz\u00f3n; y, finalmente, una Leona (en vez del Le\u00f3n original) que ha perdido la condici\u00f3n de reina de los animales y quiere recuperar el valor que cree que ha perdido. Todos ellos mostrar\u00e1n a Dorothy y a los espectadores y espectadoras que todos tenemos m\u00e1s capacidades de lo que creemos y que, cuando hay problemas, nosotros mismos acostumbramos a tener la soluci\u00f3n. Una historia profundamente humanista que bebe de la tradici\u00f3n de los cuentos m\u00e1s cl\u00e1sicos y que es, ante todo, un canto a la amistad y una invitaci\u00f3n a confiar en uno mismo antes que en los poderosos.

El responsable de la dramaturgia es Marc Artigau, un autor y director teatral que ha estrenado piezas como Ca\u00efm i Abel o Cajas, ha escrito novelas y ha firmado poemarios. Dirige el montaje David Selvas, un actor de teatro, cine y televisi\u00f3n y director que ha llevado a escena montajes que van de Who is p? (un ensayo abierto sobre Pasolini) a L'habitaci\u00f3 blava, de David Hare o, m\u00e1s recientemente, un nuevo montaje de \u00c0ngels a Am\u00e8rica producido por el Teatre Lliure, entre otros.
